Become a VIP Elf

Channel your festive energy as a VIP Elf. VIP Elves collect $250+ for the Foodbank. Simply create an online fundraising page and share the link via email and on social media. You can also collect cash and checks and deliver them to the Foodbank on packet pickup day with a pledge form. VIP Elves make a significant impact for our neighbors facing hunger. When every $1 can provide enough food for 4 meals, VIP Elves can truly make a difference. As a thank you, VIP Elves will receive a special apparel item, in addition to the long-sleeve t-shirt and iconic elf socks.

Attire

We encourage all participants to dress for the weather and add some elf flare to their outfit! Your long-sleeve shirt and striped-elf socks will be available in your runner bag to wear on race day. We look forward to seeing you spread holiday cheer through the streets of Akron! Also, additional socks and race shirts will be available for $5 each at our Vintage Apparel table while supplies last. Cash, check or credit card is accepted.

Personal Belongings

The Foodbank does not have space available to store personal belongings during the race. Please leave anything you don’t want to leave unattended in your vehicle.

Limited Restrooms

While we have portable restrooms conveniently located outside the Foodbank, indoor restrooms and changing areas will be unavailable on the morning of the race.

Four-legged Friends

For the safety of all participants, this is a dog-free event. We appreciate your continued support of the Foodbank and the Selfless Elf 5k, and we’ve greatly enjoyed opening the event to our furry friends in the past! Unfortunately, due to an incident, we had to reconsider including dogs in the race. Though we realize not all dogs cause issues, the safety and well-being of the children and families in attendance are our top priority. Thank you for understanding.

Athlete Updates

If you signed up for text timing updates during the registration process, your cell phone number has already been added!
